God created us to behold his glory (Isaiah 43:7). We are to be his mirror in
this world (Genesis 1:27). My goal in everything that I do is to show to people
God's glory. I know it sounds impossible, but that is how we know more of God
(Romans 10:17). Ultimately, through the Holy Scriptures and through people who
studied it by the power of the Holy Spirit gracefully supplied to us by God in
Christ Jesus.
The end for which this resource site is created is the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). He created all of us and all that is around us and he deserves all the praise and glory and honor. It is my joy to see and spread his glory to the ends of the earth (Isaiah 52:7).

About Me
Hi! I'm Melencio Lomod Jr, my friends call me "Lenz" and I was a Seafarer
(2012-2020) working on tanker vessels. I belong to a family of 10 and I am
second. I am currently living in Subic, Zambales Philippines. My home town is
Carmen, Bohol and I am a believer of Jesus Christ since 2014.
My Testimony
I grew up in a "religious" family and have gone to church every Sunday with a
thought to lessen my accumulated sin. I was wrong about this. I was first
introduced to faith in Christ when I was in college. I have casually attended
it without really paying attention on every detail of the service. I've even
ventured to join the Music Ministry where I play strings during worship
services with a thought of performing in order to gain my way towards God.
It wasn't 'til 2014, the turning point of my life. I got suspended from school
because of violations I made. I got expelled from the scholarship that I had
from a certain shipping company. I don't know what to do.
When I was outside school, a senior from our school reached me out. Meet me
and visited a Worship Service. And on one of my visit in that Church, the
Pastor lead a prayer of repentance to sin, called out for people who don't
know what to do or where to go, called out for the lost, called out for those
who are so tired of their situation and needs rest. Prayed to surrender our
lives to Jesus Christ and have a personal relationship with him. I prayed that
prayer and have journeyed through ups and downs in the Christian faith.
I belong now to a new family of Christ's followers with a new identity. I am
saved by grace through faith in Christ as my Lord and Savior. He paid the
penalty of my sin and have made his righteousness as my own. I am a new
creation!
That's my story and have shared to people who would ask me how I came to know
Jesus Christ.
My Ministry
When I was on-board the ship we were encouraged by our local church to spread
the Good News of the Kingdom. From time to time, we gather together to read
and study God's word and to pray for each other. When I am on land, I lead the
music ministry in our local church. I create blogs and podcasts about my walk
with God and my ministry journey.
The Need To Be Equipped
I need a formal Christian Leaders' training because if I'm going to lead
people to Christ, I would love to do it in a way that God would be shown as
who he really is. This will also help me lead people right when I am on-board
the ship. I want to be equipped for leading people to Christ.
Living For God's Glory
I love to know more of God and to enjoy him. It is my prayer that in
everything that I do and in everything that I am, God gets the glory.
