God Knows

As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust. (Psalms 103:13-14)

I am a limited person. My thinking, my resources, everything that I have is limited. Unlike God, I run out of energy, resources & compassion. I need a source that is unlimited, overflowing & abundant so that I can carry on what is required of me as a son to do what needs to be done for my Father to be pleased in me.

What pleases God most is when I acknowledge my insufficiency and cling to him as my ultimate source of strength.

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

He is not pleased if I do all sorts of things with my own limited strength. What pleases him most is when I acknowledge my insufficiency and cling to him as my ultimate source of strength.

whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4:11)

He knows my frame, he remembers that I am but dust and that's okay. He made me this way and in Christ he  will gladly supply everything I need in order to fulfill his good purpose in and through me.
