Adam and Eve in Eden

Scripture: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.” Genesis 2:24-25 Observation: God made man for his (God’s) glory. God gave man life so that he might take care and nourish his creation. We read in Gen. 2:7 “then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.” and in Gen. 2:15 “The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.” “to work it and keep it” Our God is a God that is at work. He is the author of work. He has been working ever since. When sin entered the world, that is when work became cursed and difficult. “In the garden of Eden” God has placed us where we are right now to “work” and “keep”, that is to be diligent and to excel for God’s glory. A Closer Look To God's Word

The Bible is God's Word. It holds the final authority for our way of living. It is sufficient for teaching, correcting, rebuking ourselves and others. It's inerrancy is sure and as Christians, we need this everyday, moment by moment. It holds the "Good News of the Kingdom", the message of redemption for all tribe,  tongues and nations. It is where we clearly see ourselves. It is where we find our ultimate joy. It is where we meet God. If all these statements true about the Bible, then it is vital that we read, study, memorize and meditate on it, day and night. In line with this, my ambitious goal is to take a closer look on these collection of books for my souls benefit (and others) and ultimately for the glory of God.
